Today in Beach Boys History (1967): The Beach Boys (including Brian Wilson but not Bruce Johnston) perform a concert at the Honolulu International Center. Brian's aim was to keep the concert low-key, and as such had Dennis remove parts of his drum kit and made only a limited number of tickets available for sale. This show kicked off with an brief instrumental rocker called "Hawthorne Boulevard."
